SOMETHING ABOUT ABOUT A VIRUS…?

Loo Roll, Pen 2020-22

Where does the panic eventually land? Scrolls of loo roll become a universal, sought-after canvas for moments of stasis to panic/mark-make in the state of emergency. As liberties are radically curbed, we can always radically and mono-chromatically doodle with seemingly endless florid, geometric and sometimes shapeless activity in a state of emergency that seems to be either nearly ending or just beginning. Trouble is a bit like a loo roll that keeps on coming, and a return to normality of the good old life would ensure a certain way of seeing – and making – might be over. In this way, the (sc)roll could offer a boundary of potential vision and sociality.
